The theme for the 14th Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) 2021 in Malaysia was Forward: Amplifying Empathy through design.

Hasmi of International Islamic University Malaysia won the architectural
category of the 14th Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) 2021 in Malaysia with
his project "Sejahtera Community Centre."
Meanwhile,
Amirah Afiqah Abdullah emerged as the winner for the interior design (ID)
category with her winning project named “Bakau”.
With
thoughtful design ideas incorporating sustainability, social and emotional
elements in mind, our winners prominently reflected the theme's purpose in
their designs." "Congratulations to the winners of this year's
competition.
We are
optimistic that our efforts through AYDA will continue to inspire talented
architecture and interior design students, enabling them to act as catalysts in
shaping the future environment.
